Sash Window Repairs is a small, family-run firm repairing and restoring traditional timber sash windows across London. We are joiners and decorators, and we still do the work the old-fashioned way — by hand, on site and in our own workshop.

Sash windows are the whole of what we do. Over the years we have worked on all manner of them, from small cottage box sashes to large Victorian and Edwardian bays, on private houses, flats and the odd shop and pub. A good many were in a poor state when we were first called in — cords snapped, sashes painted shut, sills gone soft — and nearly all of them could be repaired rather than replaced.

We take the view that a well-made timber sash window is worth keeping. With the right repairs, draught-proofing and a fresh coat of paint, an old window will often outlast a new plastic one and look a great deal better doing it. We are not double-glazing salesmen, and we will always tell you honestly whether a window is worth saving.
